The amount of homework that students are assigned varies by course. For example, for grades 3 - 7, students in Tutor Supported courses are often given the opportunity to request supplemental worksheets or homework. Homework consists of exercises from the different strands/concept areas that were covered in the last session's work. For students in K-7 courses, homework is not a requirement, but rather an option.
For Secondary courses, students will have regular homework assignments from a textbook and chapter tests in addition to the lessons on the computer. This offline work is an important part of the course and should be taken seriously.
Students taking web-based courses should expect to spend as much as forty-five (45) minutes on homework for each lesson completed online. All of the homework problems should be worked out on paper, just like one would do for any standard class.
