GiftedandTalented.com was born out of more than 50 years of pioneering adaptive learning research conducted at Stanford University. Spearheaded by Professor Patrick Suppes, Stanford’s Educational Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) was founded in the 1990s – the world’s first computer-based adaptive learning tools. Billions of data points collected from the more than 1 million students who have used the program are the foundation for our acclaimed courses.
This allows us to provide an unparalleled level of personalization which is particularly critical in effectively engaging advanced learners.
GiftedandTalented.com was developed by a passionate team of educators, innovators and researchers who understand that advanced learners – and the parents and educators who support them – face a unique set of challenges. They recognized the need for an online community where advanced students and their families could learn together, share ideas and resources, and tackle big problems.
A growing body of research at Stanford continues to ensure that our services provide the very best in personalized learning and support for accelerated students.
