How Do I Configure My Browser Settings?

To run your courses, you will need to allow popups and cookies from our website. Below are step-by-step instructions for how to do that for each type of browser, or you can check out our video tutorials

Safari (Mac only)
FireFox (Mac or PC)
Internet Explorer (PC only)
Chrome (Mac or PC)


Safari (Mac only):

  1. Open Safari and check Safari Preferences: click the Safari menu then scroll to Preferences

  2. On Tabs tab, set Open pages in tabs instead of windows to Never
  3. On Security tab, UNCHECK Block pop-up windows
  4. On Privacy tab, set Cookies and website data to Always allow or Allow from websites I visit
  5. Click the red X at top left to close Preferences


FireFox (Mac or PC):

  1. Open FireFox and click on the FireFox menu ( three lines icon at top right of browser window) then scroll to Options (or Preferences on a Mac)
  2. On General tab, UNCHECK: Open new windows in a new tab instead
  3. On Content tab, you can choose to
    • UNCHECK: Block pop-up windows or
    • CHECK: Block pop-up windows
      1. Click Exceptions
      2. Allow both of the following sites: 
      3. Click Save Changes
  4. On Privacy tab, set Firefox will: Remember History
  5. Close the browser tab for Preferences.


Internet Explorer (PC only):

  1. Open Internet Explorer and click Tools ( cogwheel icon at top right of browser window)
  2. Scroll to select Internet Options
  3. On Privacy tab, you can choose to
    • UNCHECK: Turn on Pop-up Blocker or
    • CHECK: Turn on Pop-up Blocker
      1. Click on Settings to add *
      2. Click Close to exit the Pop-up Blocker Settings
  4. Click OK to save changes


Chrome (Mac or PC):

  1. Click Customize and Control ( button at top right of browser window)
  2. Click Settings
  3. Scroll to bottom of the settings window and click Advanced
  4. Under Privacy and Security, click on Content Settings
    1. Under Cookies, select Keep local data only until you quit your browser. You may have to click the arrow <- to return to Content Settings.
    2. Under Pop-ups, you can choose either:
      • Allowed or
      • Blocked (recommended) and add our site as an exception:
        1. Under Allow click ADD
        2. Enter [*.] as an allowed site and click Add
  5. Exit the tab chrome://settings/
