To properly reboot your computer, follow these steps:
- Please logout and completely shut down your computer.
- If you're using a laptop, unplug all cables and disconnect your laptop battery and/or power supply.
- Wait at least one entire minute (electricity takes some time to be completely drained from the computer).
- Securely plug in all components and cables. Restart.
Sometimes it is difficult to isolate the exact cause of a problem and it is easier to start everything from a clean slate. A clean power cycle can resolve many issues including computer memory corruption, operating system (Windows/Mac) freezes/corruption, browser cache corruptions, network disconnection etc. Therefore, restarting your computer is worth trying when all else fails.
